Ujala Qadir

Ujala serves as Director of Strategic Programmes at the Climate Bonds Initiative, where she leads global work on adaptation and resilience. She plays a key role in shaping standards, investment frameworks, and taxonomies that are now guiding capital toward climate resilience and systemic transformation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Arts in Climate and Society from Columbia University.

With 18 years of experience across international development, infrastructure, and international finance, Ujala has contributed to efforts ranging from community resilience in remote rural areas to the development of national policies and global standards. She brings a deeply collaborative approach to addressing complex challenges, grounded in the belief that systems change is not only possible, but rooted in our human capacity to connect, adapt, and build toward shared goals. Her work is driven by the conviction that lasting transformation happens when diverse actors come together with clarity of purpose and the courage to do things differently.
